You can find us at the foothills of the UNESCO Heritage-listed Blue Mountains in a rural location. It’s a gorgeous spot, just far away from the city to feel like you’re truly escaping, but easily accessible.

Our property feels intimate, yet has a standalone yoga barn and treatment room, creating spaciousness and flexibility for your program and retreat leadership.
You can create memorable experiences at Curraweena House. Our gorgeous established gardens, decks, fireplace and fire pit will help your group feel like they’re somewhere special, far away from the everyday.

The Retreat Location
A large heritage home Curraweena House is set on an acre of establisehd gardens, with a stand alone yoga barn and cozy treatment cabin. Originally a farm house, it was built circa 1925. Oh, how things have changed. Curraweena House has been transformed so that you, as a retreat leader can gather your community together, with modern comfort and style that we know you'll love.
Bell View House
Overflow Accommodation Next Door
A simple home located on 10 acres of rural land. This home built in the 1980's provides the option to expand your retreat by another 7 guests. It is just 200m walk to Curraweena House located next door. The view to the mountains from the property is joyful, the large deck provides a great spot for retreat guests to spend time and the refurbishment of the home and comfy beds will keep your guests smiling. You may also spot our gently belted galloway cattle wandering in the paddock, in keeping with the rural nature of this property.
Our story.
Curraweena House was a farm house established c1925 by Garnet Dunston, a member of the Light Horse Brigade who had served in World War 1. He set up a dairy and orchard on the property after his return from service. Kurrajong Hill's would have been beautiful and tranquil retreat, especially after Garnet returned from serving in the war.
A lovely spring weekend in 2016, we were pottering around in the paddock next door at Bell View House when Dad mentioned that Curraweena House was for sale. We had enjoyed watching the transformation of Curraweena House from a run down farm house to a property that was stunning with its restoration and landscaped gardens. Curraweena won our hearts the moment we walked in to inspect. We never knew that buying this property would give us the joy of welcoming retreat leaders like you to enjoy its rural charm and established gardens.
We worked to convert the barn to a charming space for yogis and artists, and added touches like a firepit into the garden barn. It has been a wonderful journey.
I have always loved creating lovely experiences. Curraweena House allows me to continue to do this - caring for retreat leaders, just like you.

What an amazing house and garden is at Curraweena House in Kurrajong NSW. From the moment you enter the property you feel relaxed and ready for your getaway adventure. The house has a lovely feel to it and the rooms are a great size with a calming neutral decor. You have everything you need for your family and friends with beautiful picturesque Kurrajong Village nearby. This is also the ideal location for my art retreats and workshops which are held regularly with the additional use of the barn/studio space which can be adapted for any use.
